A character-based animation exploring motion, expression, and storytelling through a tennis ball protagonist
Description :
This project is a short 3D animation created as part of my Animation module assignment using Autodesk Maya.
The animation follows the module brief and focuses on demonstrating movement, timing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and camera positioning through a short take-off or landing sequence.
The main character of the animation is a tennis ball with simple facial expressions. The animation presents a short visual story showing the character preparing to jump and interact with a tennis racket. Through this sequence, I explore how personality and emotion can be communicated using movement and expression.
At the current stage, I am developing the 3D scene, preparing models and textures using UV mapping, and testing materials. The next stage will include camera setup, lighting, and rendering the animation sequence.
The final animation video will be exported and published on YouTube as part of my completed coursework portfolio.
